We create each piece in full service to their future owners, while making sure that all stakeholders involved are well taken care off. We believe that our items will empower you to excel in life, and together we can look consciously towards A BETTER future. stewarding the planet for future generations via responsible change in the apparel industry and changing how we consume trends. We believe in slow fashion that enhances your lifestyle through multiple ways: natural, low-waste, fair-wage, and preserving cultural traditional handicraft.

Continuously improving, we push ourselves to do better, be better, and create better.

We are a brand committed to upholding, protecting and nurturing local ecosystems and communities. Not only as a promise for the future, but already here, right now. All our decisions are made with the betterment of our planet and humanity in mind. so we can all continue to enjoy and expand the beauty that surrounds us. We believe that we are setting a new standard for doing business in fashion.

We partner with carefully vetted suppliers who excel in their craft. Our collaborations with our trusted artisans push innovation through our creativity all while maximizing quality. Where others short-cut, we ask how can we improve and make better? This push for constant innovation is done through the lens of seeing the human strength and potential we have collectively in our global family.

We ensure our thoughtfully produced collections are crafted in safe & fair working conditions that preserve and are in harmony with our delicate ancient ecosystems. We look to the future, but also the past, to observe and learn how humans have been co-existing with animals and nature for thousands of years. This fusion inspires how we behave & do business in the present.

design

BETTER BÅLLS stands for excellence, courage, humor, & family. We take a micro-batch approach to our collections to ensure each of our products are crafted with the highest quality possible and to reduce unnecessary consumption and waste. We want all of our products to be worn & deeply loved.

We do not believe in creating according to trends or for items to only be worn once. we design with functionality and trans-seasonality in mind. We want our items to be a part of your daily life, to be lived in, and help you perform your best. We pay careful attention to every little detail through the intelligent use of materials and designs. for example, We fully-fashion our knitwear garments to avoid waste and increase durability. and we ask ourselves daily how can we do better for future generations. We believe in harnessing the power of properly sourced natural materials and re-envisioning how to empower these timeless materials with the best of modern apparel technology and craftsmanship.  in the process we support local traditions and culture.

We design our products to be multi-functional and encourage our customers to buy less, re-wear, and wash less. When it comes to our packaging, we believe in the power of re-use. We sought out to design inspirational packaging that instead of being disregarded as waste immediately, also has a future function in your life. We create everything with a multi-functional approach and reduce where possible waste and discomfort.

We believe in making our customer’s life better, by streamlining functionality, comfort, and sustainability all in one. Enjoy our products!

  • We prioritize making high-quality pieces with the environment and its delicate ecosystems in mind. We are in a continuous state of improving our practices and aim to minimize our impact on our planet’s resources. Our partner suppliers must align with our commitment to sustainability and share our vision for a more beautiful bountiful future. We prefer micro-batch production and maintaining strict standards of what garments go into production. We facilitate improving our customers’ lives by going beyond what is expected: extensively testing, improving, and making our garments continuously better.

  • Since our inception, we have had the goal to be as natural as possible and to maintain a low carbon footprint. For example, we are reducing air freight as well as working with suppliers who have the ability to use renewable energy. We are also working on using less water in our production. We minimize the use of petrochemical-derived fabrics and prioritize and design with the use and benefit of sustainable natural materials in mind. We minimize waste in our premises, packaging, and supplier facilities – we use cutting-edge technology to avoid overproduction throughout the process. We extensively test all products before reaching the market for durability and longevity with strict quality controls enacted. We eliminate plastic packaging where possible & design our packaging to be reused numerous times.

Additionally, at our headquarters, our business is conducted where none of us commute to work. We are streamlined in the way that we utilize modern technology to avoid wasting unnecessary resources. Be it for transportation, or commutes, even the food consumed is mostly from local organic regenerative farming.

  • Animal welfare and well-being are fundamental to our philosophy. For example, we respect the alpaca and vicuña natural habitat and promote its conservation. We see them as the stewards of the Andean ecosystem and understand the cultural significance of the alpaca and vicuña in the ancient indigenous traditions and heritage.

The alpacas and vicunas, which provide us with raw materials, live in harmony and well-being. The suppliers that provide us with alpaca and vicuña yarn must comply with strict animal freedom and well-being standards.

The alpaca fibers are obtained through the traditional Inca shearing method, which is the Technical Standard of the Peruvian State. This ancient method ensures a calm, safe, and respectful shearing process.

We are a part of the effort to preserve and prevent the extinction of the noble vicuña. We aim to ensure its conservation through awareness of how precious this animal truly is, and we employ sustainable management of its fiber usage.

  • As per our commitment to keep a low carbon footprint, 95% of our fabrics and yarns are sourced from the same location as where the products are produced. Where possible, we source and produce items in the United States or regionally where the raw materials originate in their natural habitat. We seek out and partner with small local independently-owned businesses who share our vision and integrity. Building long-lasting trust-based relationships.

We avoid manufacturing in China, large conglomerates, or corporations, where transparency is near non-existent and values often misalign.

Our preferred materials are natural organic fibers. We avoid the use of non-functional synthetic materials, such as polyester and acrylics. We are actively searching for more natural elastic-type fibers for use in the future. The leather hides we use for our products are a byproduct of the food industry. Local regulations and traditions ensure animal well-being and avoid suffering. Our leather products do not originate from areas where rainforests have been cut down to make room for farms.

  • At BETTER BÅLLS, we intentionally set up our headquarters in the rural Midwest of the United States. We believe in homegrown American pride, and your purchase goes to support our revitalization efforts to bring jobs and a sense of pride back to our region. We know that you have the choice to vote with your hard-earned dollar, and you can rest assured that with us and our rural revitalization initiatives, we aim to create more local jobs, inspire and educate our local youth to become proud innovators in their community and create a renewed sense of pride for the amazing benefits of living locally & rurally. We live and create rurally, we know Midwestern practicality & cold winters. We have been strengthened by generations of hardworking Americans seeing the American dream of freedom and creating a legacy that future generations would be proud of.

  • BETTER BÅLLS supports local family farms. We maintain active relationships with our local organic regenerative farmers. Our meals on-site are locally sourced from seasonal organic foods. For us, maintaining our local ecosystem of business & farming ensures that our local economy and community can thrive. We know and love our farmers, they have become a part of our family. We make every effort to help support them and their families. When possible we donate our garments to our farmers. We know that without them, we would not be able to do what we do.

  • With your purchase, you are supporting our preservation efforts to restore and maintain historical edifices of significance in the rural Midwest. Besides designing fabulous, functional, better apparel and accessories, we are historical preservationists. We are actively preserving historical architecture from the American Gilded Age. We see these precious rare treasures as a beacon of inspiration that should be cherished and cared for centuries to come. We believe for us to move forward as a community in the future, we must also look to the past. The past inspires us with the use of natural materials, focusing on building things designed to stand the test of time, and the fusion of beauty with functionality. We learn daily from our preservation efforts and fuse these learnings with our designs.

Our vision for the future is one where long flights can be avoided, and Americans can marvel at the historical beauty of our architecture in our very own backyards.

  • To our best knowledge and through active due diligence, we can proudly say that during our manufacturing processes, we avoid all Chinese-based manufacturing and Chinese-made raw materials.

  • We are fed up with disposable culture.

Our vision is a world that only uses functional plastics.

One of our core pillars of BETTER BÅLLS is to fight against the current disposable plastic culture that we currently face. We are shocked by the amount of plastics all around us, and the lack of natural alternative items.

We push ourselves to not use disposable plastics in our headquarters, personal lives, and also with our suppliers. We design items to live with you, to become a part of your life, and that are natural.
