BETTER BÅLLS appeared as a refusal of fake luxury, dead objects, sterile status, and the standardization of human life.

About Us

In a Flat World,

We go

bålls Deep.

We experience the world as flat.

People are flattened into roles, labels, outputs, price tags, trends, and scripts they did not write.

BETTER BÅLLS is the refusal of that.

A ball is the opposite of flat: dimensional, moving, alive.

In its purest form, the sphere is one of humanity’s oldest symbols of wholeness.

Sun. Moon. Planet. Egg. Seed. Orb. Pearl. Cell. Eye. Cosmos.

A ball looks simple until you try to measure it.

To understand it fully, you meet infinity.

What first sounds playful or provocative reveals something older: wholeness, movement, mystery, body, humour, and courage.

The courage to sail beyond the known world.
The courage to leave the map.
The courage to question the script.
The courage to go deeper.
The courage to become harder to reduce.
The courage to live with more body, beauty, intimacy, privacy, and myth.

Not performance.

Real human courage.

Because not every truth arrives from the world we already know.

Some signals feel foreign at first. Alien, even.

But sometimes the strange signal is the one calling you home.

BETTER BÅLLS is a portal to another dimension. Already here.

BETTER BÅLLS is a Real Luxury world of objects, clothing, writing, symbols, and ways of living. A world built against the flatness of the one we inherited. We are not here to decorate the status quo. We are here to make things that carry warmth, humour, courage, beauty, memory, sensuality, protection, and life force.

The world emerged before it had a name.

Before it appeared through fabrics, interiors, writing, or objects, it lived as a sensory world: colour, atmosphere, intuition, protection, sensuality, humour, and life force.

The name appeared first. The world aligned.

Over time, BETTER BÅLLS shaped itself around roundness, movement, courage, beauty, fertility, play, privacy, and myth.

We make objects to live with.

Hats for weather and courage.
Scarves for warmth and seduction.
Blankets for beds, bodies, cars, terraces, and thresholds.
Clothing for movement, privacy, protection, and play.
Writing for remembrance.
Symbols for those who still need signs.

Each piece is a fragment of a larger world — made to be worn, warmed, carried, touched, gifted, lived with, and remembered.

Real Luxury, Reimagined Through Myth

Real Luxury Is Life Returned to Itself

Real Luxury is not status theater.

It is not excess, coldness, trend, or the performance of refinement.

It is presence, devotion, transformation, and care.

Luxury is returning to life.

To us, Real Luxury means being alive.

Protected.

Nourished.

Remembering what matters.

Belonging without being flattened.

Having the space, courage, materials, beauty, privacy, and meaning to create.

Real Luxury is warmth.

It is care.

It is the body feeling less alone.

It is the home becoming more human.

It is the object being worth keeping.

It is money circulating toward what should exist.

It is beauty that serves life.

It is sensuality without shame.

It is privacy without isolation.

It is protection without domination.

It is responsibility without deadness.

BETTER BÅLLS explores luxury as something older and more alive: a force carried through objects, clothing, writing, symbols, colour, form, humour, body, memory, and myth.

We reject the lazy luxury myth: the idea that beauty, quality, or refinement can be proven by a familiar prestige label, an approved city, a famous country name, or an inherited fashion story.

Our work draws from art and ritual, mythology and symbolism, emotional response to colour and form, ancient European and global art forms, modern craftsmanship, and material understanding.

Each piece is developed slowly, intentionally, and in limited quantities.

Not to chase trend.

Not to decorate status.

To carry meaning into life.

Real Luxury is not escape from life.

It is life returned to itself.

Founded From Lived Experience

BETTER BÅLLS was not created from market research.

It came from lived experience.

From seeing systems up close that looked successful from the outside, but felt empty, extractive, and spiritually dead from within.

Jakob worked inside McKinsey & Company and saw how modern extraction can be made polite, intelligent, optimized, and respectable.

He had done what he was supposed to do.

He had followed the approved path.

And still, something was wrong.

His family history carried another lesson: people who worked with land, fruit, soil, food, and care — organic before it became fashionable — could still be slowly pushed out by governments, developers, systems, and people with sharper elbows.

Too much goodness without protection can be taken.

Too much trust in the system can cost a family its land, work, memory, and future.

Elizabeth came from family lines that crossed oceans to escape pressure, religious persecution, extortion, and the taking of what had been built.

Again and again, her ancestors had to begin anew: homes, families, work, beauty, survival.

She always knew she wanted to create.

She studied textiles, entered fashion media and influencer marketing, and saw another version of the same emptiness: image without nourishment, visibility without life, beauty flattened into performance.

Their marriage and children gave the work courage.

Not courage as fantasy.

Courage as the decision to leave what was dead, protect the family, and build something more alive.

Family became the priority.

Life became the measure.

BETTER BÅLLS exists because doing everything “right” inside the old world was not enough.

Luxury had to mean something more.

Not status.

Not chasing.

Not survival dressed in expensive packaging.

But life.

A World Carried Through Place

BETTER BÅLLS did not begin as a website.

It has been lived through houses, showrooms, pop-ups, interiors, objects, garments, books, conversations, experiments, and physical rooms.

The world has appeared in Wisconsin, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Amsterdam and Stockholm — places that matter not only creatively, but ancestrally.

These places are part of the founders’ story.

Wisconsin carries family, land, weather, home, childhood, inheritance, survival, and the living memory of Elizabeth’s line. It also carries a warning: what happens when a deeply rooted culture is abandoned, flattened, or forgotten, and a people begin to lose their identity.

San Francisco carries counterculture, experimentation, technology, loneliness, and the strange edge where the future can feel both open and cold. It showed us what progress can become when it loses body, warmth, family, beauty, and belonging.

Los Angeles carries image, performance, beauty, sunlight, desire, illusion, broken dreams and the cut-throat energy beneath the glow. It taught us that visibility is not the same as life.

Stockholm carries northern light, water, design, restraint, family memory and future longing. It also carries the danger of unnecessary sameness: politeness so afraid of upsetting anyone that life becomes muted.

Amsterdam carries return, Europe, water, trade, old streets, tolerance, flatness, contradiction, sin and strange freedoms & memories. It holds the threshold between ancestry, testing, recognition, resistance, and the world being born.

Each place markes the work.

BETTER BÅLLS was not imagined into existence only on a screen.

It was carried through places, bodies, family lines, objects, weather, conversations, and risk.

Rooted in Amsterdam

BETTER BÅLLS exists internationally, but its current physical reality is Amsterdam.

Our showroom is at Keizersgracht 419, on one of Amsterdam’s most iconic and beautiful corners: water, stone, windows, history, trade, beauty, privacy, and public life meeting at the threshold.

Amsterdam carries trade, art, tolerance, contradiction, experiment, old stones, private interiors, sin, water, and strange freedoms.

It also teaches the danger of excessive control.

A city can become so managed, regulated, optimized, commercialized, and watched that belonging begins to disappear.

What was once living culture becomes marketable atmosphere.

What was once freedom becomes policy.

What was once a city becomes a product.

That tension matters to us.

Respect for tradition.

Freedom to invent new forms.

Beauty without obedience.

Luxury without rigidity.

Amsterdam is not the whole world of BETTER BÅLLS.

But it is the current threshold.

The place where the work meets old Europe, water, strangers, resistance, recognition, tourists, locals, beauty, commerce, privacy, public life, control, and the question of whether a city can still belong to its people.

Rooted in Europe by Choice

BETTER BÅLLS was born between America and Europe, and is now rooted in Europe by choice.

Not because Europe is perfect.

Far from it.

Europe carries beauty and violence, memory and suppression, rootedness and shame.

Its older native worlds were often broken, buried, renamed, mocked, commercialized, or forced into forms that no longer belonged to them.

But the memory still lives here.

In stones, languages, villages, forests, fields, family lines, markets, foods, crafts, songs, symbols, old roads, local rituals, and ways of belonging.

Europe still carries native memory: different peoples, regions, languages, landscapes, customs, materials, architectures, stories, and ways of life that were never meant to be flattened into one approved way of being.

That is what we love. Jakob grew up with it, Elizabeth reconnected with it.

Not standardization.

Not rootlessness.

Not the reduction of everyone into the same person.

Elizabeth carries Native American ancestry and understands the danger of losing living memory: the pain of rupture, the violence of forgetting, and the sacred importance of protecting what remains.

Much of Europe’s older memory has been forgotten, commercialized, mocked, or made embarrassing to speak about.

But it is not gone.

We are here to remember without becoming nostalgic.

To restore without becoming rigid.

To build forward from what should not have been lost.

What We Make

BETTER BÅLLS makes things for the body and home.

Hats.

Clothing.

Shoes.

Blankets.

Scarves.

Books.

Home goods.

Cutting boards.

Spurdles.

Ceremonial pieces and rituals.

Objects for cooking, wearing, reading, warming, remembering, gifting, and keeping.

Perfume is coming, with our own scent.

More categories will come over time, but we do not rush expansion.

We take the time to understand whether something deserves to exist.

We create physical things because the body is not separate from the soul.

Objects matter.

So does language.

What we wear, touch, carry, sleep under, read, cook with, gift, and keep nearby shapes how we feel, remember, belong, and become.

BETTER BÅLLS creates objects, clothing, writing, symbols, home goods, and rituals as part of a deeper work of transformation now unfolding.

A hat can protect.

A scarf can warm.

A blanket can nourish.

A garment can return someone to the body.

A book can help a person remember what they knew.

A cutting board can return dignity to the kitchen.

A spurdle can make stirring, cooking, feeding, and ordinary care feel less dead.

A symbol can call something back into being.

A sentence can open a door.

Not products for consumption.

Things for protection, nourishment, remembrance, belonging, and creation.

Objects Are Not Only Objects

A dead world treats objects as content, status, utility, or waste.

We do not.

An object can carry relation.

An object can hold memory.

An object can protect softness.

An object can change the atmosphere of a room.

An object can remind the body that it is allowed to feel.

An object can help a home become more human.

An object can mark a threshold.

An object can become a signal to others who still feel something.

We make things to be worn, warmed, carried, touched, gifted, lived with, remembered, and kept.

The goal is not to flood the world with more things.

The goal is to make things worth keeping.

Responsibility, Not Sustainability

Life, to us, implies responsibility.

We do not want to sustain what is harming life.

We are here to make things worth keeping.

Too much sustainability language has become fake words, empty promises, and moral decoration placed over the same patterns of extraction, overproduction, waste, distance, and forgetting.

Responsibility asks more.

What are we making?

How much are we making?

Who makes it?

What is it made from?

How far does it travel?

How is it used?

How is it cared for?

Will it be repaired, gifted, remembered, or kept?

Did it deserve to exist in the first place?

We work with small-scale production, specialist partners, natural materials where they make sense, durable materials, and designs meant to live beyond seasons and trends.

We are not interested in flooding the world with unwanted stock and then pretending waste is luxury.

We care about who makes the object, how it is made, what it carries, and whether it belongs in life.

We create fewer pieces, with greater intention.

In Dutch, there is a saying:

“Goedkoop is duurkoop.”

Cheap often becomes expensive.

Cheap things can cost more than they show: in labour, materials, waste, discomfort, replacement, returns, and hidden harm.

We do not believe cheapness is innocence.

We also do not believe price should be inflated only for status.

The question is whether the object carries real value.

Was it made with care?

Does it serve life?

Will it be used, loved, repaired, gifted, remembered, or kept?

Does it deserve to exist?

That is the standard.

The Signal

Some people feel the signal before the world has language for it.

Through beauty.

Through rage.

Through grief.

Through dreams.

Through symbols.

Through memory.

Through the unknown.

They are not wrong for feeling more.

They are responding to the parts of life the flat world tried to silence.

Because not every truth arrives from the world we already know.

Some signals feel foreign at first.

Alien, even.

But sometimes the strange signal is the one calling you home.

BETTER BÅLLS is a portal to the higher dimension already here.

Not as escape.

As body.

As beauty.

As memory.

As responsibility.

As protection.

As creation.

As life made sacred again.

The Hero’s Journey Home

We honour those who sense beyond the flat world.

Energies, dreams, symbols, synchronicities, higher dimensions, alien signals, ancestral memory, and unseen intelligences may all be attempts to speak about a reality larger than the approved one.

The danger is not the search. The search is thrilling and can be never-ending.

The danger is forgetting to return.

Every true hero leaves the known world.

Every true hero enters the unknown.

Every true hero meets forces they do not fully understand.

But the journey is not complete until something is brought back.

Wisdom.

Protection.

Beauty.

Language.

Healing.

Fire.

A new way to live.

The unknown is not an escape from life.

It is a doorway into a more living one.

Not to become normal.

To become more real.

The Warrior-Protector

The BETTER BÅLLS logo carries the force of the warrior-protector.

The confident warrior knows what he fights for.

He carries the force of Mars — courage, action, conflict, fertility, protection, and will.

Not violence without purpose.

Not domination without soul.

War is part of life.

Not only physical war, but mental, spiritual, cultural, emotional, and symbolic conflict.

The question is not whether force exists.

The question is what the force serves.

At its highest, warrior force serves life.

It protects the field, the family, the body, the boundary, the home, the future, and the living center of the human being.

Many ancient traditions recognized this force in different forms: the warrior, the thunderer, the oath-keeper, the guardian, the protector, the sacred defender.

Not all the same god.

But the same human recognition:

Life needs guardians.

Beauty needs courage.

Softness needs protection.

Freedom needs responsibility.

Strength is not domination.

Courage is not cruelty.

Protection is a sacred act.

Humor Matters

We do not believe sacredness requires stiffness.

Humor protects life from becoming ideology.

A world without play becomes another prison.

BETTER BÅLLS is serious, but not sterile.

The name is part of that.

Some people will see only the simple.

That is fine.

The name did its work.

Others will recognize the deeper signal: roundness, wholeness, courage, fertility, body, humour, movement, mystery, protection, and life force.

A ball is the opposite of flat.

Dimensional.

Moving.

Alive.

Sun.

Moon.

Planet.

Egg.

Seed.

Orb.

Pearl.

Cell.

Eye.

Cosmos.

A ball looks simple until you try to measure it.

To understand it fully, you meet infinity.

What first sounds playful or provocative reveals something older.

Wholeness.

Movement.

Mystery.

Body.

Humour.

Courage.

Belonging Without Flattening

Belonging is not the same as fitting in.

Fitting in asks you to flatten yourself.

Belonging gives you room to become more whole.

We are not interested in building community through obedience, status, shame, or sameness.

We are interested in recognition.

The recognition between people who still feel something.

The recognition between those who want to live.

The recognition between people who are willing to protect what matters.

Belonging is being received without being reduced — and learning to receive others without reducing them.

Who BETTER BÅLLS Is For

BETTER BÅLLS is for people who are trying to become more alive.

People who have felt the flatness of the world and do not want to become numb inside it.

People who are learning to trust what they know.

People who want beauty without emptiness.

Luxury without status theater.

Spirituality without escape.

Freedom without selfishness.

Belonging without obedience.

Protection without domination.

Responsibility without deadness.

It is for people who want to build lives with more warmth, courage, humour, sensuality, memory, family, craft, privacy, and soul.

People who want to come back to the body.

Back to the home.

Back to the living world.

Back to what matters.

They may come from many places.

Some are truth tellers.

Some are spiritual seekers.

Some are artists.

Some are parents.

Some are exhausted high performers.

Some are people rebuilding after emotional harm.

Some are people with money who are tired of dead luxury.

Some are people without much money who still understand value.

Some are root-seekers.

Some are simply sensitive to ugliness, falseness, waste, and forgetting.

They are not all the same.

But they share a direction.

They are moving toward life.

BETTER BÅLLS is for those who know the flat world is not enough.

For those who felt something was off before they had permission to say it.

For those who followed signs, symbols, dreams, energies, questions, grief, beauty, rage, memory, longing, intuition, and strange signals into the unknown.

For those who discovered that normal life was not always sane.

For those who saw that success could be empty.

For those who saw that luxury could be dead.

For those who saw that spirituality could become escape.

For those who saw that politics could become rage.

For those who saw that activism could become despair.

For those who saw that tradition could become control.

For those who saw that freedom could become selfishness.

For those who saw that belonging could become obedience.

For those who saw that beauty could become status.

For those who saw that rebellion could become another costume.

BETTER BÅLLS is for the truth tellers who need a path beyond suspicion.

For the spiritual seekers who need embodiment, not escape.

For the climate grievers who need responsibility, not despair.

For the anti-extraction people who refuse to give up beauty.

For the root-seekers who want memory without hatred.

For the wounded who are learning to trust what they knew.

For the strong who understand courage as protection, not conquest.

For the families who still believe the home, the child, and the ordinary day can be sacred.

For the burned-out achievers who know success is not the same as life.

For the aesthetes who understand that ugliness is not neutral.

For those who still believe objects can carry meaning.

For those who still believe words matter.

For those who still believe the body is sacred.

For those who still believe the living world is worth protecting.

For those who still feel something.

Not paranoia, but discernment.

Not escape, but embodiment.

Not rage, but responsibility.

Not nostalgia, but remembrance.

Not status, but life.

Not purity, but practice.

Not superiority, but readiness.

Not fitting in, but becoming whole.

BETTER BÅLLS is for those ready to cross the threshold.

To return with more beauty.

More courage.

More protection.

More memory.

More warmth.

More humour.

More responsibility.

More life.

Not to become normal.

To become more real.

Who BETTER BÅLLS Is Not For

BETTER BÅLLS is not for everyone.

Not because we believe some people are inherently better than others.

Because not everyone is ready to feel, question, take responsibility, or cross the threshold.

Some people are still too invested in the flat world.

Some people still need the old rewards.

Some people still need the script to be true.

That is part of life.

The Fully Invested

This is the person winning enough inside the current system that they have no reason to question it.

Their money, status, self-image, network, comfort, and identity may depend on the old world being good.

To see clearly would cost them.

They may not be evil.

They may simply not be ready.

They want familiar prestige, social proof, approved taste, recognized labels, safe status signals, and nothing that asks too much.

BETTER BÅLLS will likely feel inconvenient to them because it asks:

What if the thing you won is not life?

The Status Luxury Seeker

This person wants luxury as confirmation of rank.

They want familiar labels, approved cities, resale value, influencer validation, polished coldness, and objects that announce class position to strangers.

They ask:

Who else wears it?

Is it recognized?

Does it signal success?

Will people know it was expensive?

BETTER BÅLLS asks different questions.

Does it carry life?

Does it protect something?

Does it belong in your world?

Does it help you become more real?

If someone only wants status luxury, they may not understand Real Luxury yet.

The Ironist

This person cannot sincerely love beauty, myth, spirituality, family, symbols, courage, humour, devotion, or the sacred without mocking it.

Irony protects them from embarrassment.

But it also keeps them outside the gate.

They want something clever.

Something detached.

Something safe to like because it can be mocked.

Something that never asks for sincerity.

BETTER BÅLLS requires sincerity.

Not naivety.

Sincerity.

That may be too much for them at first.

The Cheapness Without Consequence Person

This person says they care about ethics, but still expects impossible prices, endless availability, free shipping, free returns, fast delivery, perfect convenience, and no responsibility.

They want the feeling of goodness without paying the real cost.

They want discounts, free everything, no friction, no visible cost, and the illusion that cheapness harms no one.

BETTER BÅLLS believes hidden cost does not disappear.

It is pushed onto the maker, the seller, the carrier, the material, the customer, or the world.

Cheap often becomes expensive.

This person may not be ready until they understand that responsibility has a price.

The Selfish Freedom Person

This person confuses freedom with getting what they want.

They may appear left, right, rich, poor, spiritual, secular, rebellious, respectable, alternative, or conventional.

The pattern is the same:

I owe nothing.

I take what I want.

I call it freedom.

They want access without care.

Community without contribution.

Beauty without responsibility.

Pleasure without consequence.

Freedom without duty.

BETTER BÅLLS does not believe in narcissistic freedom.

Freedom without responsibility becomes extraction with better branding.

The Spiritual Escapist

This person wants signs, downloads, portals, 5D, aliens, abundance, high vibration, astrology, and energy — but not body, money, grief, family, work, boundaries, accountability, or the ordinary day.

Their search may be real. We have been there.

But they are not yet ready to return.

They want escape.

Specialness.

Endless signs.

No grounded responsibility.

A higher dimension that does not require them to change their life.

BETTER BÅLLS honours the search, but not the escape.

The unknown is not a way out of life.

It is a doorway into a more living one.

The Political Rage Addict

This person wants politics instead of transformation.

They want the world divided cleanly into enemies and allies so they never have to change themselves.

This can appear as extreme left, extreme right, climate doom, conspiracy obsession, anti-woke rage, anti-capitalist rage, spiritual rage, nationalist rage, or institutional rage.

The object changes.

The addiction is the same.

They want enemies.

Purity.

Certainty.

Blame.

Permission to never look inward.

BETTER BÅLLS is not here to feed rage.

It is here to metabolize truth into life.

Anger may be the alarm.

It cannot become the home.

The Literalist

This person needs everything flattened into plain explanation before they can feel safe.

They reject symbols, myth, mystery, intuition, beauty, humour, and layered meaning because they only trust what is literal, measurable, approved, or already familiar.

They may see the name and stop at the obvious.

That is fine.

The name did its work.

They want plain utility.

No ambiguity.

No myth.

No risk.

No strange signal.

No feeling they cannot immediately categorize.

BETTER BÅLLS is not designed to be fully consumed at first glance.

It asks for perception.

The Extractive Belonger

This person wants community, warmth, access, intimacy, support, and belonging — but does not want to give care, respect boundaries, support the work, or take responsibility.

They want to be held without holding anything.

They want a community that gives endlessly.

No cost.

No boundary.

No contribution.

No expectation of care.

BETTER BÅLLS does not believe belonging is extraction with softer language.

Belonging is not fitting in.

Belonging is being received without being reduced — and learning to receive others without reducing them.

The Superiority Seeker

This person wants exclusivity because it makes them feel above others.

They are still addicted to the old luxury logic:

You cannot enter because you are not important enough.

BETTER BÅLLS works differently.

The threshold is not about superiority.

It is about readiness.

They want hierarchy.

Access as domination.

Rarity as ego.

Objects as proof of being above others.

BETTER BÅLLS says:

Enter only if you are willing to feel and take responsibility.

That is a different gate.

Some will not understand it yet.

The Dead-Object Consumer

This person wants objects only as content, display, purchase, or identity signal.

They do not want relation.

They do not want memory.

They do not want care.

They want the object to perform for them and then disappear.

They want aesthetic novelty.

Status confirmation.

Fast consumption.

Objects without obligation.

Beauty that asks nothing back.

BETTER BÅLLS makes objects to be worn, warmed, carried, touched, gifted, lived with, remembered, and kept.

A dead-object consumer may see only products.

BETTER BÅLLS is building a world.

The Not-Yet-Ready

This is the most important category.

Some people are not against the work.

They are simply not ready.

Not ready to feel.

Not ready to question.

Not ready to leave the script.

Not ready to admit the old rewards are empty.

Not ready to become responsible for what they know.

That is okay.

A threshold does not hate the person who has not crossed it.

It simply remains where it is.

BETTER BÅLLS is not for everyone at every moment.

Some will leave.

Some will return.

Some will recognize it later.

The gate can wait.

The Threshold Is Open

BETTER BÅLLS is not here to convince everyone.

It is here to call the right people closer.

The work is remembrance and restoration.

To return from numbness to life.

From status to meaning.

From consumption to relation.

From escape to embodiment.

From isolation to belonging.

From dead objects to objects worth keeping.

From the approved story to a life authored with more courage, beauty, humour, responsibility, and soul.

The threshold is open.

Not for everyone.

But for those who still feel something, it is open.
